Yes Huzaifa, Life Science/Science/Whatever got slaughtered as well. A lot of my science friends are talking about how courses they wanted to take are not being offered anymore.
All I'm saying is, this is bullshit. I had my 3rd and 4th year planned out PERFECTLY. But NOOOO, Mac had to lay off one of the profs I was planning on having for a few classes.
Thanks Mac, thanks.

Man. I was afraid this would happen. A couple of the courses I wanted to take are not offered as well. Almost all of my courses only have one section or timeslot. I'm sure this affects every faculty in some way or another.
Are they planning to do more layoffs next year? I'm going to go and check if my professors from last year are still teaching, I'll be really disappointed if they aren't.

Yeah, all my courses only have one core except stats. It's hard to find electives in second term too...

Hey Since you are in Econ, which prof and courses were they?

It doesn't look like Commerce even had a single casualty.

lol ahh, this just makes it worse; the last thing we need is more bloody commies who go around peddling collaterized debt obligations and less "pure" economists

It totally does for Anthro, English and CSCT. I'm not surprised the same is true in other departments as well.

I'm in 3rd year Anthro and I'm missing one course credit based on the degree audit but the course isn't even on the course calendar anymore and the course selection isn't that great. :(

What course?
The only mandatory Anthros are 2E03, 2F03, 2PA3, 3L03, 4I03...otherwise you get a fair amount of selection for the remaining units.

They took 3L03 out, I don't know if it's a good thing or a bad thing. I've definitely noticed a good number of profs I had last year aren't teaching anymore.

Of course they took out 3L03...it was one of the worst Anthro classes I took...
I'm actually really surprised they did; there is a lot of theory covered in the course, a lot of it essential to fourth year courses and presumably beyond.

There doesn't seem to be an effect on engineering either. At least not in my department. The only course that I'm taking that seems to have less choices is one of the french courses that I wanted to take.

University? Keep it hush-hush? OF COURSE!
|
A lot of science courses were lost.
:| Now I'm screwed to find a course from a "required" list, where 50% of the courses are missing and the rest I've either taken or they're incredibly uninteresting (sup, bioinformatics!)
Bio 3TT3 is gone - thankfully I took it last year. Yes, the enrollment was small, but that's because it was a night class and Kolasa wasn't teaching.
4T03 - Gone. So, Phys students are forced to take 4X03 instead.
Nucleus and Cytoplasm - Gone, even though they had large enrollments last year.
Bio 3F03 - Gone. Probably because the lab component forces the class sizes to be smaller.
Histology - not offered.
It wasn't just the arts that were affected.

Nucleus and Cytoplasm are still offered...they're just under Molecular Bio now, instead of regular biology.
