I can show you my first year timetable and what that looked like, (I was in social science last year). I took three social science courses to fulfill the 18 unit requirement, and 2 humanities courses for electives. 30 units in all.

I don’t think there is such a thing as a “typical” timetable. Most people have very different timetables (especially in first year). The appearance of your timetable will totally depend on what courses and what sections you register for. Last year, my term one timetable was very different from my term two timetable. First term, I had lots of breaks and I pretty much had classes until 5:30 pm everyday (except for Friday – day off!! ). However, second term, I only had classes until 2:30 pm and I hardly had any breaks. Like mentioned, your timetable will completely depend on the courses you take.
