Are there any students groups or unions I can join in Mac when I arrive in September.
Im interested in joining unions that dont necessarily require a certain quality such as being good in a sport or whatever. I just want to join a group where we not only do something productive but I also get to meet new friends and such.

Unions are for people who work.. the word you're looking for is club

click list all clubs alphabetically, and you get a list of all the clubs at mac during welcome week they have clubsfest where you can go and sign up to join whatever clubs you want!

They're not called unions at Mac, that's for people who work e.g. TA's, Hospitality staff, etc. But anyway, Clubsfest will be on the 8th of September so you can check out all the societies/associations/etc that you're interested in, get more info about them and get involved!
