upgrade course
The following showed when i tried confirming my courses on solar:"You have taken this course before and passed it, or no grade has been recorded. This addition will be marked as an Upgrade: CHEM 1A03"

I dropped chem 1a03 last term before the deadline. Just wondering if having an upgrade course will have any negative impact on admissions to professional school, med school...etc

They may see it cause it's on your transcript. Weird I never got that message before. I know some places don't like failed courses, not sure about dropped.

The dropped course will still show on the transcripts you will eventually have to send schools.

Will it matter? Probably not. All things equal, schools would prefer you don't have any fails or drops. Unless you're planning on being a marginal candidate, nobody will care. While I did not apply to medical school, I'm in a program with a comparable admission rate with a fail on my transcript. Don't screw up from here on out, I expect you'll be fine.
