the deadline for returning students are over but we can be put on the waiting list..
does that mean then that if we actually get a placement after all, but then we want to back out, we can get our full $600 deposit back?

RESIDENCE DEPOSIT INFORMATION
  • Students assigned to the waiting list through the lottery may cancel their application online for a full deposit refund, if they no longer wish to be considered for Residence.
  • Students on the guaranteed list who cancel their application online must do so by the refund cancellation deadline to qualify for a partial deposit refund of $300.

by lottery results do you mean the actual rooms that you are assigned to?
or just a confirmation message saying that you have a guaranteed status?

thanks

thanks

you just get an email saying that you're on the guaranteed list
room allocation will occur after they've looked at your grades and they see you've maintained a CA > 5.0
only after that they'll assign you.

I think most upper year rooms are singles. I got a single in second year and I think my average was around 9.2.
