Got an hour to spare on campus? Want to make an easy $10?

Eligible Participants Must:

- NOT participate in regular exercise (i.e., < 2 days/week)

So I need to be fat and lazy?
I think this is discriminatory.

I originally thought this read as you must NOT have a family medical history of that stuff, or that you MUST participate in exercise. Since that's normally what you would expect from a Kin study.
Then I re-read it and laughed morbidly at the image of a room full of fat people reading web pages for an hour.

To be fair.. if you are looking for a bunch of people who don't exercise, the internet is an awfully good place to look.

I don't necessarily agree with that. There's probably a relation between frequent internet users and infrequent exercisers, but it's not that strong. I for one exercise a lot. During the summer I play competitive soccer and during the school year I play intramurals... I'm currently on 5 teams right now; 2 soccer, 2 flag football and 1 volleyball.
Internet =/= no exercise; internet = no homework.

I'm not saying it applies to everyone, but you can't deny that there is definitely a correlation between hours exercised and hours spent on the internet. I'm sure there are studies on it, but I'm not feeling like googling them up to be honest.

Sorry, Desda. :(
I wonder if they'll ask us to prove our family history of stuff.

i think bcars can agree that i don't exercise ever. And there is a relation to sitting in front of computer for several hours and lack of exercise.
I read the requirements and thought damn it is the story of my life.

Lol...you guys are funny! We are definitely not looking for "fat and lazy" people. Most students on campus do not exercise regularly -- not because they are lazy but because they do not have the time or motivation!
