I want to pursue this career !!
Hi guys,
So, I have finished my high school, and going for further studies. I love auto industry and want to pursue my career in that only. But, my parents are not convinced about this. They are of the opinion that, this industry does not have any future, and there are no job opportunities. But, I have done a lot of research on this, and I know very well about the opportunities out there. I was just checking online to get some more info, and found a blog, http://www.theexecutivewing. com/bl...auto-industry/, and they have some good points, and accordingly, it helps in improving your critical thinking ability to focus etc. I just wanted to convince my parents somehow, and I really wish to pursue my career in this. Could anyone suggest me some ideas, on how to convince my parents, and make them positive about this,?

jericksie says thanks to janett for this post.

Hi there,

Look at this program: http://future.mcmaster.ca/programs/btech/
My sister is in the program, it has 3 streams: automotive and vehicle tehnology, biotechnology or process automation. Its a really good program! At the end of the program you'll get Bachelor of Technology degree from McMaster University and an advanced college diploma from Mohawk College, there is something you get in business administration as well its a diploma I think, I can't remember unfortunately.
The program takes 4 and a half years to complete including mandatory coop placement. Most students in this program get a job, very few go on to take masters. I met one person in the program, she took the biotech stream and she is working in Cadbury factory doing testing on food samples, or something along that line. I think you should look into the automotive stream since that is your interest.

Hope this helps!
