It's not mandatory, but it is highly recommended that you go! I went last year and afterwards I felt more excited about coming to university, after having a 'feel' of what it would be like to be on campus and all. There are lots of events going on that will be of interest to you, and on top of all that, the Maroons will be out in full action!!

It's not mandatory.

I went last year and learnt a lot. There are a bunch of sessions that talk about first year, what to expect, how to take notes, etc...

Also, it's really worth it if you haven't seen the campus yet. Get to know which buildings are where and if you are in residence you can get a tour of your residence. This will allow you to plan on what to bring and if things you have will fit and where to put things.

Yep! Those are exactly the reasons why I'm going! You get to see your residence building, and what to bring, the campus, there's a mini clubfest (where you see the clubs at mac and such) and you can tour hamilton! It sounds pretty fun!

I would say definitely go if you can!

I only went to may @ mac before my first year and only saw Keyes.. I had no idea what my Whidden room would look like when I came.

Because you'll know where you're going to be, you'll have the chance to meet up with people who you're going to be living with, such as your residence advisors, welcome week reps, irc reps, and maybe even your fellow floor-mates.

There are also tons of other things to check out! Definitely go because welcome week is chock-full of information to absorb. Welcome Day is a great time to get a head start on it all.

~*Sara*~ says thanks to temara.brown for this post.

I met up with one of my roommates at the Welcome Day, so that was pretty cool. I also bought my AWESOME MAC PASS on Welcome Day.

Check out the tables too (like the SRA table)!
