Hi everyone,

I was wondering when and how we can take WHIMIS and HTHSCI. Is there any specific date when they open up for online completion? I am sure this information is somewhere on the website, however I failed to find it.

Not sure, but your teachers should tell you. You can do them an unlimited number of times, so they're nothing to stress over.

WHMIS is up right now. You can access them through www.avenue.mcmaster.c a It's basically an online presentation/powerpoint (can't quite remember) found under the contents section and a quiz under assessments. You have to have it complete before your first labs (i.e. 2nd or 3rd week of school), so you don't have to do them now.

As stated above, they should open up on Avenue to Learn at some point if they haven't already. Do you know how to get on to Avenue/how to use it?

Also, don't worry if you can't find it. They only need to be done before your first labs happen and those don't happen until the second or third week. Your professors will definitely talk about it in your first lecture so there's no way you'll miss the deadline or anything.
