So I got into Honours Social Psychology recently and I wonder why only 0,6% approx. of the second year students are in this program???

I just got into the program too. I think it's because the program is still developing, it hasn't been around long and there may also be less interest in it as well because students might not know much about it

It's a new program (just got introduced last year, I'm pretty sure) and enrolment is also limited. They want to keep it relatively small for now, I guess, and let it grow once it's more known.

That's a decent amount... My program and level only has 33 students.

With small programs the opposite tends to occur: Since there are so few kids in your program you see them all the time and get to know them well. Take Art Sci for instance, it's a total cult.

You can ask the departments or faculties the programs belong to.

I'm curious, do the lecture sizes shrink considerably in second year courses as compared to first year?
If that's the case, to the OP, i think it'll be easier for us to recognize people that we share multiple classes with from our program

No, at least not by second year.
Psych courses are open to other faculties too, so a course like Social Psych 2C03 is still quite large (lecture in JHE 376).
You could always meet people using MI
