Woodstock is almost identical to Brandon in its room layout (not in overall building size), if you happen to have seen that one. I lived there as staff for one year, and I think it's a really good size building - everyone on your floor (~55 people on floors 2-6, less on 1) can easily get to know one another, since despite having 2 "wings", there is a central common room and bathrooms.
I found single rooms there to be quite cramped compared to other buildings, but doubles are pretty good (and odds are you won't have a single anyway). You can find pictures of the rooms on the Housing website (

As for the "party rez" status, I have to say, that's one label that's not commonly attributed to Woodstock - usually it gets slapped on Whidden, Brandon, and McKay. But it's kind of a pointless label anyway, because the atmosphere of the building is dictated by the different personalities that live in it every year. I have a theory that those 3 buildings I mentioned above tend to be more "party-like" on average than some others because it's a self-fulfilling prophecy - people go there expecting a party, so they make it that way (I also apply this theory to pretty much all of Western :p ) There will be people who lived in other buildings who are absolutely
convinced that their place was the best for partying and whatnot in a given year, and they may be right - after all, a building is just an inanimate object, it's the people that make it exciting.
