Hey! Woodstock is a pretty good res! One of the better ones. As for single rooms... they arn't to bad actually. Some of them are bigger than others but generally they are of decent size. You get a bed/ desk which fit in nicely. I think you'll like it.

Woodstock has communal bathrooms. Your room itself won't have it's own washroom unless you're a CA.

It definitely helps with integrating yourself into your new community. You get to meet people from your residence and your faculty. Welcome week just helps get you socially acquainted with everyone. I would highly suggest going if you can.

No one will pressure you to do anything you don't want to do, or force you to attend anything you don't want to attend. But I'm sure you'll enjoy all the activities. At first, you'll probably be like "These cheers are so lame", but once everyone gets into the spirit of it, you'll start to really enjoy all the activities.
That being said, 99% of the population of your residence will be out doing the activities, so you may as well go along too, because it will be lonely in residence!
