Work Study Program
If you are eligible for this program are you guaranteed a job? Is the application process the same in terms of dropping resumes etc. What if you can not find a job through OSCAR but qualify for the program?

No, you're not guaranteed a job. Being eligible for the program only makes you eligible to apply for certain jobs. Yes, the process is the same. If you can't find a job through OSCAR, you have to look for other alternatives in which case being eligible for work-study won't help you. Don't worry, there are tons of employment options at Mac and Hamilton.

I don't know about any websites as I've never used any except OSCAR. I was thinking more along the lines of "now hiring" signs on stores' windows in Westdale. I know people who have worked at the Pita Pit, TCBY and Tim Horton's. On campus, hospitality always hires some students, and if you live in res you can apply for a guest sign-in position. I don't think that there's very much you can do before getting here.

Actually, the MSU website has a job portal. https://www.msumcmaster.ca/jobs/overview/jobs.htm
