It really depends on the type of position you applied. But in my experience its no different than any other interview, they will ask you about your qualifications, elaborating on your experience etc

The fact that you are going for work study program ... I think they only difference will be that they may want to see the approved work study form (available on MUGSI)...but thats about it.

I JUST came back from an interview.
The first question was tell me about yourself (very general) .. then they will tell you about their research study, the job descriptions.. and ask you what you can contribute to their research. Most likely however, they have read over your cover letter & resume, so they'll be asking you specific experiences. you should be able to elaborate, describe what you did, any skills you've gained. they could, ask you non-related research questions as well.. if you want to be a fruit what would you be? any hobbies/interests? etc.
They know you're nervous so don't be scared by the questions they ask you. just be honest & answer only the question asked.

Not all work-study jobs are the same or follow the same interview format...it depends on the employer. Treat it like you would any other interview, because different employers could have drastically different ways of interviewing. You're not interviewing for the work-study program, you're interviewing for a job, and if you get the job, your employer will get funding from the work-study program to help pay you.
