Workout for the gym.
I was just curious to see what everyone's workout is whether it be full body, a type of split workout, cardio focused, etc.

As for me, my plans are to gain size and strength ; so i plan on doing this workout

WS4SB 3 http://defrancostraining.com /artic...rds-part3.html.

This will be partnered with cardio, core work, and a kind of bulking meal plan. So I do have things figured out, to an extent.
Just fyi, I am not new to the gym so please don't think that im a super skinny kid with crazy ambitious goals.

So what's your workout or plan for the gym ?

I go Legs, Chest/Tris, Back/Bis, Shoulder/Calves/Abs. I'm following a program online that has been working very well for me.

Been doing a full body this summer, I've only been coming twice weekly (and I haven't been in in the past few weeks).

Honestly I'm gonna have to do some thinking about what I can fit in this semester, not a lot of long breaks.

Hows your fitness been? Like how has your body changed after a full summer of workout like that?
*curious*

Day 1 - Legs
Day 2 - Chest
Day 3 - Back
Day 4 - Shoulders/Traps
Day 5 - Arms

In order of importance.
Full body in my opinion is useless. You don't work your muscle hard enough.
ie. you don't tear into your muscle tissue enough to make it repair itself for muscle growth.

I've gotten pudgy again (Same weight as I was before I originally started working out, but a bit more muscular). It sucks. Also never realized how much exercise I get from walking all around campus during the year.

When I manage to hit the gym, I do:

1) Biceps/Back
2) Shoulders (short day)
3) Chest/Triceps
4) Legs (only on lazy days, otherwise sports or running is enough to make my legs hurt)

I also try to do cardio as much as I can. Whether it be playing sports or just hitting the treadmill, cardio is important.

If your trying to bulk keep cardio down to once a week and low intensity. I would suggest a split, but thats my preference. Everyone has what works for them find yours out if you need any advice with working out just inbox me I'm a bit of an addict

I'm using heavily modified versions of the workouts found here: http://www.musclehack.com/

Basically it involves, 1 muscle group per day, choosing the most efficient movement for the muscle and little to no cardio.

It's muscle mass building workout and it's been working pretty well so far and I've definitely seen some changes in muscle definition, I'm still tweaking it for my exact preferences though.

Wasn't planning on too much of it at most twice a week for 10 minutes. I've been doing a split workout for a while now and i thought i should mix it up. A few guys I've spoken with suggested that i try out the workout i posted because they've seen results themselves. I'll be sure to let you know if i need anything!

Full body ftw as always. Doing The Texas Method.
Goal is strength only and I've had significant gains doing it. I really hope those of you doing splits know *why* you're doing them.

Considering the strongest men do fullbody (a lot of the time split into upper/lower though due to working out 4x/week) I beg to differ. Tell me how doing squats 5x5, and then bench 5x5 isn't "tearing into the muscle tissue". Jesus christ. BrOsCiEnCe. With all due respect, check out the book "Maximum Muscle" by Matt Perryman. Sums up a lot of the shitty myths and bs you hear these days about working out. Good book, and free.

I do split so I can workout 4 times a week and each muscle group is more or less fully recovered by the time I work it again. Thats why I never work two (extremely) related muscle groups at the same time. Chest/legs Back/shoulders Arms/abs. Thats what I find works the best for me.
