Are the yoga/pilates classes included in the gym fee or is it a separate fee for these classes? I've tried to get more info from the site but the link for the instructional classes seems to be down...

Does anyone know if the classes are offered during the day or the evening and whether they're actually worth it?

Yoga/pilates ... you have to pay for I think. Its not terribly expensive.. I think its comparable to the gym fee?

Nope, the classes are free with a pulse membership. From the Athrec website:

A Fitness Membership allows members to take advantage of the various fitness and cycling classes run by the Pulse and its staff. A Fitness Membership also includes access to free weights, circuit, selectorized weight machines, cardio equipment (including treadmills) and the Feather Family Climbing Wall.

These include, Aerobics and Yoga/Pilates. You can find the class schedules here: http://www.marauders.ca/sports/2011/...px?id=148#Yoga

Hmm, maybe I was confusing yoga with the fact you need a pulse membership?

Zumba looks fun

I personally didn't go at all first semester. Lost all my muscle mass and felt like crap. Second semester I went there a lot and got back into shape. I found working out to be a welcome escape from the academic life, so yes I would recommend it at least for one of your two semesters.
The facilities are great, you'll just find you can't go there so often once midterms and exams are underway.

This gym is the nicest I have ever seen. Pretty new and spacious and the entire building is great.

Sorry for thread-jacking, but I really want to sign up for a Pulse Membership, but I have no idea where to begin. I got to the sign-up site, and they are asking for a login and password, which isn't my MacID. Then, I tried to create an account, but was brought back to the homepage for various registrations.

I think I may have to go in person. Does anyone have any tips for me?
