Worth Going from Social Service Work to Social Work?
I graduated from the Social Service Worker program with a 78% Average. I am just wondering if it is worth the extra 4-6 years to become a Social Worker (I may go for a Master's).

I am going back and forth between getting a job as a Social Service Worker and trying for Social Work. I am already in year one and although I am doing ok, I am struggling a bit on my studies (roughly just above a 75%).

In your guys/girls opinions, is it worth the money? I live at home and I am 24.

It totally is, to be honest, there are not many SSW jobs out there, while there are a lot more jobs out there for a social worker. Also, a high paying SSW job would be about 24/hr, while a high paying SW job can sometimes be 40/hr. If you get a BSW an MSW is only one year, so that's something to think about as well.
