Exactly what kudos said. At the end of the day, it doesn't really matter how severe your reactions are. In order to live with others, you need to be willing to compromise because you don't have a right to dictate what the rest of your floor can do. If you are unable or unwilling to compromise, then it's not fair to you or anyone else that you will be living with. That's why so many people with allergies and special requirements don't live in res. Like, you say you've been "going somewhere else" your whole life, but as kudos said, if the guy in the room next to you piles on the cologne, or you're across from the common room where someone cooks eggs every morning, it won't really make a difference if that person is your roommate or not. So yeah, you can fill out the accommodation form but the most they can do for you is give you a single room. If your allergies!intolerance s are as severe as you described, it really doesn't sound like that will make much of a difference.
