2nd year Pysch courses/prof review
What is the course load like for .....and also what are the profs like (in terms of lecturing/help)?
psych 2aa3 (development)
psych 2ap3 (abnormal)
psych 2b03 (personality)
psych 2C03 (social)

Are there any psych courses you would recommend?

Social Psych with Ostovich was really good. Shes a great teacher, but her midterms are tricky. You will walk out thinking you did sooo good but the way they are marked surprises you. If you take it make sure you answer questions exactly the way she does in class. Know all the experiments she talks about, and text book is necessary. When I took it there were 2 midterms and an exam. Overall really interesting. Oh, another side note.. it is easy to think that the material in class is common sense, and that on a midterm you will be able just to pick out the answer.. don't think that..

Abnormal- used to be a 3rd year class taught by Dr. Day. If he is still teaching it take it! He's a fantastic teacher, the material is interesting, and relevant to anything you will ever do in psych. Text book is necessary, ummm two midterms, one exam. Make sure you do the questions on his online quiz bank, because a lot of those show up word for word on tests. He posts slides and audio recording of his lectures so if you miss one it isn't too bad to catch up.

Hope this helps a bit, welcome to psych
