Hey Fourth Years! Just a few random factoids from Danielle Lorenz, your friendly neighbourhood VP Community Development here at MacInsiders.

Just think about it...in less than six months we'll be graduating! Holy crap! There are a few things you should probably be aware of (if you aren't already)!

Grad School:

If you're applying to graduate school for next fall many of the Canadian schools have a deadline the first week of January, some are as late as the beginning of February.

You need academic references for graduate school; as many as three depending on the program. Profs are busy now with marking. You may have screwed yourself over for the 2008-2009 year.

Grad Photos:

If you want your grad photo on the composite (the thing with all the names of the graduates in your program), you need to have your photos taken this term.

Just go to the Jostens office in the student centre, and they can set you up with the link, and the information for the packages and whatnot.

Apparently parents are really disappointed when you don't get grad photos by the way...

Convocation:

If you're graduating in the spring, you will be getting an email shortly (November is the when, the date is the part I'm not so sure about) from the University, in which we fill out a form with the name you want on the diploma (someone had Batman last year...seriously!), declare your minor, and other things I'm not really learned about yet.
