I think the great deal of ambiguity in issuing the scholarship is bogus. Perhaps clearer guidelines would cause more students, like myself, who expected at least a 100 bucks from this to invest our time and resources elsewhere. It's not only disheartening but sort of offending.
Did you apply for the scholarship? It was in the OSAP application but the OSAP application had to be completed by June 19th. Then you had to send in the supporting documentation by July 17th.

Applied for the scholarship and completed my Web Application by June 3rd.
I called a few weeks later to confirm that my supporting documents had been received (because my OSAP status hadn't changed (I still had "Student must send in S.D)) and the woman assured me I was fine. This was before the QEII scholarship deadline and the same day that reminder disappeared so I felt fine.

And then I waited.
Upon hearing that the scholarship was issued I contact [email protected] and received an email stating that I should check MUGSI.
When I didn't get it by the end of the week (as I was told I might in aforementioned email) I emailed again to hear that I wasn't selected, and that there was no appeal process.

Hmmm, who did you e-mail? Was it SFAS?

I'm pretty sure that there is an appeal (review) process for the scholarship.
C/p from page 2 of the attached document that all the scholarship winners got:
"If you are not a successful candidate and you would like to request a review, your request for a review must be received at your financial aid office by November 13, 2009. "

This is exactly what I mean its very ambiguous and its unfair to people like yourself. Even I would like more explicit guidelines to it and I did receive the scholarship.
