To all the ppl on SOLAR
Plan what courses you want/need beforehand, log on and select what you want.
LOG OFF AFTER ASAP.
This seriously shouldn't take more than 10 minutes max!!
If anyone is actually on for the 45 minutes max time they need to kindly go jump in front of a bus plz.

I managed to get on at 12:16, a new record for sure. When I went to add my 8th course I got a beautiful, previously unseen error, and all was lost.
Can't get back in.

I just had the same thing 
Had 2 electives added, then got bumped off.

I managed to get on at 12 15 and off by 12 20 with no hicups. Usually it takes till 4 or 5 and several error messages. I guess I just got lucky this time around cause the system clearly hasn't gotten any better.
Still faced stupid full courses though

I got kicked off twice, and encountered two different error message (one while on SOLAR, and one trying to log-on to SOLAR)
I managed to get to the log-in menu of SOLAR maybe 5 times and accidentally closed that log in window twice, and lost my course selections twice before finally getting everything saved!
This year is much worse than any previous year IMO.

I actually was lucky to have a friend willing to go on SOLAR for me after I tried for half an hour. She got in at about 2:38am... finished on there at 5am because she got kicked out a few times. All my prerequisites were full  . You'd think a returning Life Sci student finishing up their honours degree would be able to choose courses on the 4th... but no.... I got thrown into the lion pit with everyone else on the 5th.

If you are dedicated to getting on, anyone can get on within 15 miunutes if they just keep constantly hitting the solar link on mugsi. you will fail for a while, but i got in at least 3 times to make changes to my selections within an hour between midnight and 1am on the first night solar was open for my program
