hey there, I am currently taking Anthro 2U03- Plagues and People with Dr. Herring and I am in need of some serious help. We have 3 in-class assessments each worth 25% and the best 2/3 is taken. So far I have done two of the three assessements and I have done really really badly so I definitely need to do better on the third and final one to boost up my horrible grade. It is in 3 weeks and I was wondering if there was anyone out there who has taken it or is currently taking it that can help me out. Why not form a study group with friends? I found that helped me out in reviewing for the assessments.

yeah...its just that I only know 2 or 3 people in that class and they get distracted alot so I find it hard to concentrate with them :( Did you take this class with Dr. Herring...do you have any advice for me please?

If you go to that thread you will see fellow students who have taken the course and reviewed it. You might want to PM, them and ask for help.

Well concentrating in class and going to class is #1 Dr. Herring discusses certain terms a lot so that's like a hint on the definitions then for the essay...basically whatever seems like an "enumeration" question is fair game for that. Anything from the readings/lecture is fair game for the multiple choice. I've had Dr. Herring (and yes I'm in the class now) in the past and I find her tests are fair.

yeah I have been going to every single class and try to pay attention but I find that she reads basically what is on the slides alot...not a lot of extra notes to make. I did all the readings and made notes on them for the past test but still did horrible on the M/C :(
