Anyone commuting from Milton?
If so, what route do you take and how are the times?
I ask because looking at the GO Transit, if I'm not mistaken, because of the long delay between Milton carpool to Bronte Go and Bronte Go to McMaster, the whole commute takes like 2 hours.
It takes (according to google maps anyway) about 30 minutes on the 407 from Milton driving to McMaster, so the commute seems pretty harsh comparatively.
Does anyone know if there are other routes or something which take less time?

I don't know where you are coming from in Milton but what about catching the 407 Go Bus from either the Bronte or Burlington Carpool lot?

I haven't looked into the Burlington lot, but to drive to the Bronte Go Station takes about 25 minutes from my new house, and to drive to McMaster on the 407 takes about 30 minutes, so there's no point going straight to the Go Station.
Does the Bronte Carpool lot allow you to go directly to McMaster? I thought that it took you to the Bronte Go Station which then took you to McMaster?

Hey I'm also commuting from Milton. The bus from the Bronte carpool lot (at Bronte Rd./Hwy 407) goes basically straight to McMaster (1 stop) - it gets there in half an hour. I'm planning to try the route out sometime soon to see how it all works in practice.
Here's the schedule for the bus that goes from Bronte Rd/Hwy 407 carpool lot to McMaster:

Edit for the schedule from Milton Go Station to Bronte Rd/Hwy 407:
http://www.gotransit.com/publicroot/...&p age=1&new=
So it's a 13 minute trip if you're going all the way from the Go station on Main street.

Haha dukeb, maybe we can be bus buddies or something!
What time(s) do your classes end/when are you planning on coming home?
And thanks for the links, they were dead useful - I found leaving at 4.00pm will allow me to reach Milton Go Station at 4.56pm, which is the shortest route I think.

if you can somehow get to the bronte carpool lot its probably the best way to get to mcmaster. after bronte the bus only stops in burlington and then straight to mcmaster. and tons of people take this bus (including me )

My first class: 8:30am on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
10:30am on Monday.
9:30am on Wednesday.
Last class finishes at: 2:20pm on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
12:20pm on Monday.
10:20am on Tuesday.
So.. yea I dunno. I live just off Thompson South of Derry, so I'd sometimes get a ride to the Bronte carpool. But usually I think I would catch the bus at the closest stop, which is on Thompson just North of Derry.
Oh also I think I'll end up just studying in the library after class finishes most days. So yea I guess I could take the bus home at whatever time is most convenient.
Would you be getting a ride to Bronte carpool/Hwy 407 or taking the bus?

Ah, well I heard the Carpool lot was almost as far away as the Bronte Go Station and if I go on the 407 directly I can reach McMaster in almost the same time (Mac takes 5-10 minutes longer) so there's no point for me to get a ride from/to the Bronte Carpool.
Short answer: Mac --> Bronte Carpool --> Milton Go
For coming to school I'm not sure what I'm doing yet.
