So I've noticed over the past few days that MOSAIC has acquired some courses with codes that don't follow the typical McMaster course code styling.

These are everything under the "Child Life Studies" department (CHILDS), which have courses scheduled in Fall 2015 and Winter 2016.

Is this a mistake, or is McMaster adopting a new course code system?

Looks like some way to make a numerical list of all their courses to make their system work simpler behind the scenes. A look-up table lets us see the names we're used to. They've had a system to identify programmes for some time now. I believe those numbers show up in the calendar. Hope nobody gets the idea to use these numbers. I kind of like Mac's own quirky course codes, nothing like the 101 and 100 some other schools use.
