Applying to Level II program
I should just wait and find out for myself when the time comes but yet again, I was just curious about how it works.
When do you usually apply for a Level II program?
Can you apply for more than one?
And what happens if you don't get accepted to any of the ones you apply?

You can apply to more than one and you do this towards the end of your first year. Each faculty will have sessions about how to do it and give you plenty of information on the different programs offered by your faculty.

If you don't get into the ones that you applied to you can continue to try to meet the requirements during your second year and you will be considered just a "Level 2" Student. I don't know what would happen if you still couldn't meet the requirements by the end of your second year.

its definately a good idea to start thinking about it. Especially if you need specific course requirements in order to be adminitted in to the program. Although soe of the courses you can do later if they accept you anyways, but its nice to have them done early too! Its good you are starting to think ahead!

Use the undergraduate calendar and search around!

Is there a page on the McMaster website where it shows how many people are accepted into each level II program?

unfortunately, no it doesn't say. The ones that are limited will say that enrollment is limited. although that doesn't really say much. Some can be limited to only 10-20 ppl while others are limited to 50-100. If you really want to know, you will have to ask one of the academic advisors for a better answer.

do you have any programs in mind that you want to know? maybe someone can give you a rough estimate

If you're in Bio...

http://worms.mcmaster.ca/guptalab/BAR/bar2004-05.pdf
This was when 1st years had general Science I though...
Look at page 112... I think the numbers represent total students in the program at that time b/c there's no way there's that many genetics co-op students... lol (right now my year only has 3 people =/ )

Alright, thanks. I'll just contact an advisor about it.
