Backing out of offers
I'm going to a year 1 student in this upcoming fall going into the Engineering Co-op I program, but unfortunately this is not my first choice.

I am recently waitlisted by my number 1 choice and they're not giving me an answer until mid-July. Just wondering if I accept my offer to McMaster and paid all the fees that I'm supposed to pay prior to July, and if I want to back out of this what would be the penalties by doing so?

Obviously all the deposits will be gone. I guess what I'm really wondering is how much money I end up losing all together if I back out in mid-July?

An answer would really help.

Thanks guys! Much love!

According to this: http://www.mcmaster.ca/bms/student/S...adlines.h tml

You will not incur any financial penalty. I know it's from last year, but it doesn't matter because you are dropping courses before September.
I think you should definitely speak with the Student Accounts & Cashiers office regrading this. Here's their contact info:

Hopefully you get into your program of choice! All the best!

You lose complementary fees. those are non refundable but if you are switch programs , shouldn't really esp if in same faulty. What is your number 1 choice?
