Okay, so the craziest thing happened today (upper years might not think it's THAT much of a big deal ). The firealarm went off during Test 1 for Bio in MDCL, about halfway through. I wonder if someone actually pulled it though . Surprisingly, they allowed us to continue to write it, since the other sections (not in MDCL) didn't have that interruption. Definitely a crazy experience for a first midterm .

What do you guys think they'll do, since everyone was cheating during those 25 minutes standing outside!

I actually had a fire alarm during a final exam, which is even worst. They didn't do anything.

Unfortunately for the other students, I think they are just going to let this one pass. It would be way too complicated if the professors tried to do anything.

I don't think I've been to a midterm where I haven't seen people cheating yet. You should have seen our Stats midterm last week...

That happened to my friend last year at U of T... The prof made them all write it again...but with different questions, of course!

During my first bio midterm, I lost 15 minutes because the TA's couldn't open the door to the room.

Yea I was in MDCL when this happened today. It was crazy.... and describing the whole thing as disastrous would be an understatement. They said that they might make us re-write it... but that would just piss me off so much.

*sigh* I hope they make a good decision that will satisfy the majority.

:/ from what Dr. Kajiura said last lecture... got the feeling that they'll just let it pass. "things happen in university and you just have to adjust." kinda sucks for the people in the other classrooms though... i dont think anyone bombed our midterm, but still, each mark lost is about 2 pecent. im sure her email is a bit full of complaints ...

But whatever, the people who cheated, sure they'll get a few extra marks (eevn though, who knows, may be their friends gave them wrong answers) BUT, that won;t be the case with every midterm. They won't get lucky every single time. And that's what university is all about isn't it? To see who can survive and ace the 4 full years, instead of getting a higher mark on ONE midterm test. A lot of people in MDCL also didn't cheat.. So it really depends on the person. That's how I see it anyway

I can see why they didn't do anything about it though, it was 1/3 in MDCL versus the 2/3 in other buildings, it wouldn't have been really fair for them.
