Birthday Ideas
Hey guys, I was hoping that some of you could help me out with some birthday present ideas for my friend. I know I've left it rather late considering his birthday is in a week and a half, but I haven't been able to think of anything nearly good enough so I'm hoping some of y'all have some cool ideas! So, a little bit about my friend: he's turning 22 next week, he's a huge movie fan (owns over 600 DVDs), he's a James Bond fanatic, he's Australian (so anything Australian is good, but I can't think of anything cool enough!!), he's studying to be a paramedic, and he surfs. I have to get him something spectacular because he got me a fantastic birthday present! My budget is anything under $100. I have one other gift in mind but I need something else. Please help me out!

Thanks so much!

Here.

Though you'd need a US shipping address for most of those, as it's very unlikely that you'll get any of that to Canada with 1.5 weeks.

justinsftw says thanks to Amaryll for this post.

Thanks Amaryll. As you said, I don't have a US address or two weeks to wait so I'm looking for something I can go to a store and buy, not order online. Thanks though!

buy him some surfer board shorts, maybe you'll find a james bond themed one if you're lucky.

How about one of these?

You could put in the James Bond theme so he could put it on his notebook/door to play the theme whenever it's opened.

It's easily removable and you can change the audio on it anytime through a USB key, according to the website. I don't think it's that loud. It's the same tech used in those greeting cards, but has better quality audio. (i.e. it doesn't have to be a .midi jingle.)

This thing is pretty sick for a movie/media enthusiast if they have multiple media devices within a fairly small area (ipad/tablet, smartphone, multiple computers, smart-tv, ps3). Basically its a 500gb external harddrive (that can function as a portable external drive) and has the ability to (on its own) broadcast its own wifi network allowing up to three devices at the same time to stream the movies/pics etc directly from the drive (no external router needed). JUst needs to have some james bond loaded onto it...

Its about $180 which would only really be doable if you combined with someone. But like that crazy gaming system above its something to think about, if perhaps a bit unrealistic.
