Booster Juice Approved for Mac

Dear McMaster students, a Booster Juice franchise was just approved to be built in the Middle of the Student Centre by the MUSC board of Management! Construction will start over reading week. I will let you know more as it progresses.

So there's gonna be a Booster Juice in the middle of the MUSC atrium? Wouldn't that be sorta in the way of everything :p

It will be where the smoothie place near Tim Hortons was. That vendor chose not to renew their lease and so that is how it opened up. The lines definitely will be an issue but so long as they develop a system that doesn't clog up the MUSC it should work.

MUSC = worst design ever. Seats are always filled on the main floor, and on most days the upper floors too. The gap between the seating area and LaPiazza and travel thingy and picture thingy etc is super narrow as well. Plus it doesnt help when random ppl stop and talk at the stair well :(
So glad almost all my classes are in ITB

I feel the same way about the MUSC mind you it was developed for a campus of I believe somewhere around 15,000 students not 22,000 (undergrads) so clearly the campus has expanded dramatically. In regards to the travel cuts space we will be allowing vendors to submit a proposal and at our meeting in February deciding upon the vendor. I would like to, however, get student input so that we can use that to guide our decision!

Couldn't Booster Juice go into the old Travel Cuts place? That way it wouldn't clog up the hallway with it's line. Or is the space beside Tims already confirmed for them?

The Travel Cuts space just recently became available and so it will have to go through an rfp process, whereas Hospitality services owned the space in the middle and yes the space is already confirmed for that.
But what we have to decide next is, what else would you like on campus? Would you like another food option if so what would it sell, a store, some form of a service maybe? Really anything but what would you like to see there?

I'd personally like somewhere to grab food that doesn't take as long as 1280 but still accepts debit/credit. I doubt it'll happen, but I can dream.

Since someone pointed out the lack of seating, can I ask what the purpose of the seemingly permanent occupy camp in the atrium seating section is?
I'm all for the right to protest and all that, but to be honest, I'm paying money towards the MUSC just as everyone else is, and they're taking up at least 3-4 couches over there when there already isn't enough seating, and they've been there for a few weeks now. I don't think this is fair to the rest of us. Yeah, sure, prove a point to the university, but there's no need to inconvenience your fellow students who are paying fees and now have less access to seating areas in MUSC.
