Really?! Weird. My bf's mum is a bus driver and she always tells us when we're allowed to use our passes. She hasn't mentioned anything yet, neither have a couple other bus drivers I talk to.

Thanks!

It's the sticker that goes on your student card, it has an orange band that says "HSR" on it.

Can we opt out of the bus pass if we don't plan on using it?

No. The MSU has made a deal with the HSR and the deal only works when all students pay for the bus pass. I think there was a vote last year and the majority of students still want the bus pass (mostly because most students live off campus).

They are looking for the new sticker. The new sticker has an orange HSR strip on it now!

I dont think my sticker has the HSR thing on it.

It says, U/G PT / BOOKSTORE / ATH. & REC.

I just realized that PT is probably Part time, did not think of this before.

Am i considered part time because I have a semester of class and then a 2 semesters of co-op starting Jan

Yes, that would only be 15 units for the wall/winter session which is part-time.
