Where can I fix my ipod touch?
Hey guys,
I broke my ipod headphone socket recently, it won't play on the left side of the ear phone. I plugged into my speakers, other headphones, and it appears to have the same problem. Does anyone know where I can fix my ipod touch headphone socket? close to campus will be ideal.
P.S Titles doesn't do it...

If you bought it recently, you could always send it to apple.

All I can think of is the Apple store at Sherway... definitely not near campus.

If its still under warranty, call customer support, explain the problem and most likely they will ship you an empty box, put the iPod in and ship it back (they cover shipping). Within a week they will send you a new replacement.
To check warranty, Google "apple warranty status" click 1st link and enter your serial number.

Its the iTouch itself..
Taking apart Apple or other overly proprietary products doesn't usally work out so well, since there isn't an easy way to open up the damn things.

The touches are pretty easy to take apart, actually.
And to the people telling him to mail it in to Apple, they won't just replace it. they're pretty tight about damage not being covered. They'll take it for a week, then contact you to say it's gonna cost X amount of dollars (and it starts at $159 for a touch repair, I believe and goes up).
I hear there's a guy in or near Limeridge that does repairs for cheap. I've heard as low as about $10 for that king of repair. Might want to check in to that.

Nah, the iPods arent bad at all. The only things that suck are the iPads and iPhone 4s. everything before them only takes a few minutes.

Try Kijiji, there's always a few ads on iPod/iPhone repair. Won't be too expensive either.

If it is under warrant, simply take it to the Apple Store in Square One, its a bus away. If it is under warranty they will exchange for a refurbished one. If its not then they will charge you around 129$ for a refurbished one. The refurbished ones are as good as new
