Yes as long as your status matches. (30 units for full time.....18 units for part time?)

I'm pretty sure that if you are looking to do anything after your undergrad like medicine, pharmacy, dentistry, a lot of those professional schools require that you take full course loads. So make sure you check that out before deciding to take 4 courses.

Sometimes you cant. Look on solar and at the top right corner if i remember correctly says what the max you can take per semester. You should be able to take 18, but dont quote me on that

Yes you can. I have a friend who has being taking 6 courses in one term and 4 on the other every year.

Most of them consider 6+4 to be a full courseload, because they were all taken in the fall/winter term. It's not considered a full courseload if you take 27 units during fall/winter and 3 units in the summer before or after, though.
