Term 3 Courses
Hi, do you guys think if i take 2 courses, which are term 3 meaning two terms (1-2) such as sociology 1A06 and religion 1B06 that it would be hard to keep up with the work since im going into the first year business program and need 11 courses to complete 30 units?

You need 10 courses to complete 30 units, although if I'm not mistaken there is a 0-unit course first year students need to take.
No, you wouldn't have a hard time keeping up. It's really the same as a one term course, just you are continuing the material in second term.
They only time it may be a little difficult is if you do not have an exam in first term (which is unlikely in a first year class), and you're expected to know everything from both terms on your exam.

The 0-credit course you need to take (1PA0 I believe) has no work to it, just the lecture you have to attend. So don't worry about a workload from that class.
Sociology is also an extremely light workload; An essay in your second semester is the only work besides tests.
Not sure about the religion course, but trust me when I say Business I isn't a very heavy course load. -- Just make sure to not slack off too much!!

Thanks for all the answers, but one more question are the term 3 courses worth 6 units or 3 units?

Six units. You can tell with the course code; If it ends in 3 (1B03) it's 3 units, if it ends in 6 (1A06) it's 6 units.

I'm a little confused by what you're saying here. Are you saying you need to physically have 10 separate 'courses' to complete 30 units?
@MrSmith: If it helps you, mentally split Sociology 1A06 into Soc 1A03 and 1AA3. Sure, that's not what it shows up as on your transcript, but it is literally just 2 3-unit courses, which you must take together.
That's all a 6 unit course really is.

Saying 10 courses is much simpler than saying x 3 unit courses, and y 6-unit courses.

Sorry, didn't mean to be a pill or anything.
It just sounded slightly ambiguous. I wasn't sure whether or not you meant that if I took 30 units, but only had 9 separate course listings on my transcript (by some stroke of luck), then I would fail to meet the first year requirements.
(At which point I would say *phew* because I didn't know that was the case lol)
But now I see that you were instead giving a word of caution...saying that taking 10 courses, one of which is the 0 unit course, will only give 27 units.
So I apologize for the confusion.

Technically you can also progress to level II without 30 units -- I did it with 27 and I know others who've done it with 24.
But no worries!
