Cancelled courses
If I have 4 cancelled courses in my 4 year transcript, would that affect my grad/ prof/ med school applications?

Depends on the school. Look it up yourself for all the schools you want to apply to.

Most would not care as long as you've maintained a full course load.

What does maintaining a full course load mean? Does it mean having 24 units for full time or does it depend on your program?

A full course load depends on your program, but for the majority of programs it is 30 units, and for the purposes of professional/grad school applications that's what it works out to - five half-year courses per term. You can be a full-time student without taking a full course load.
