Can't choose core/lab/tutorial on SOLAR, details/pictures inside! Help requested.
Hi fellow MacInsiders. A few minutes ago, I opened SOLAR to apply for my courses this coming september.

The first thing I ran into is that it asked me to confirm my information (which was all correct: name, SIN, macid, etc). Next, SOLAR asked me to choose from available programs, and it only listed Software Engineering & Game Design Year II. I...just completed that this previous year. Does it list second year because I failed a couple of my courses, and therefore am missing two prerequisites for next year? Or are there other reasons? Just want to make sure on this.

Next came actual course selection. I was able to access SOLAR, go to the Sept 2011 course selection, add my courses, etc. I ran into something odd though. Please see the picture below:

It allows me to choose all my courses, and thankfully, none of them are full. However, I remember (on SOLAR, last year) being able to choose the Cores/Labs/Tutorials straightaway.
Choose Subject --> Course Code --> Term + Day/Evening --> Core/Lab/Tutorial.
SOLAR lets me add the courses (such as SE3RA3, the one being chosen in that screenshot) without any "problems." I was even able to click the Verify Changes & Check Conflicts button. That's why the "Requisite Results" tab shows "PASSED" for a few of my courses (I pressed the button then test-added three more.)

So what's going on? Shouldn't I be able to choose my Cores/Labs/Tutorials right now too? After clicking the Verify Changes & Check Conflicts button, it even allows me to click Apply Requested Changes button. I haven't clicked it yet because that finalizes everything. I'm just wondering what's going on, why I can't pick my sections, etc.

Any help would be appreciated!
Thank you.

i'm not sure about the first part of your post - but no, you can't choose specific cores/labs/tutorials until after your personal timetable has been released (official date - aug 8th)

You should contact an academic advisor about your first question .
