Casio FX-991 MS is $14.99 this week at Canadian Tire
Not that they're normally associated with back-to-school shopping, but I just got back from Canadian Tire and happened to see that they have the Casio FX-991 MS on sale this week for $14.99 (down from $19.99), which is probably the cheapest I've ever seen it. The location I went to (Ancaster) only had a couple of them left, though.

Oddly enough, after that I went over to Wal-Mart for something else and they had a huge bin of them for $26.97, which is probably the most expensive I've ever seen it. So if you haven't bought yours yet, keep it in mind!

That is the only calculator that you are allowed to bring into tests and exams.

If you're in science, engineering, or business, I guarantee you'll need it - and it has to be that specific one, since it's the only one allowed on tests and exams (so that there's a level playing field).

If you never take a course that contains math, you won't need it. I see from your profile that you're going into nursing...and I don't know specifically what your courses will be...but I suspect you will need it.

Can we get a variation of the Casio FX-991 MS? Such as:
- Casio fx 991 s Solar scientific calculator
- Casio fx 991 FM scientific caclulator
- Casio fx 991 ES Natural Express scientific calculator

Or are they that strict about that specific model?

Hello. Ok for confirmation purposes what is the exact model of the Casio calcualtor. Just to be sure, there are three models available:

1) Casio fx 991 s Solar scientific calcuator
2) Casio fx 991 FM Plus Scientific calcualtor
3) Casio fx 991 ES Natural Express scientific calculator

Is it possible any model is acceptable for exam purpose ?

I believe you are only permitted the Casio FX-991 MS Solar. You are for sure not permitted the Graphing Calculator.
