Changing cores?
Hey,
Well, today I woke up late and missed my morning Chem Lecture. Luckily, I found the same lecture at a different time today (4:30-5:20), with the same prof, same material etc. So, I'm wondering, could I just attend the 4:30 chem lectures from now on? Or at least on thursdays, since it fits better with my schedule. Also, iclickers aren't one of the required items for my course, so I don't need to expect any in-class quizzes counting towards my grade.
Thanks!

Yup. As long as there is not marking involved in the lectures you can attend any of them

You have iclicker in that course, you need to make sure you change your core on SOLAR or talk to Dr. Landry about that because if your name is on the morning class list and you go and answer iclicker in another class they won't count and you will lose 3%

Oh, I'm in Chem 1E03, so I've got Dr. Barbier. I know, though, that the Chem 1A03 course requires iclickers. His course outline, on the other hand, didn't include the iclicker as a required/optional item. Hmm, I guess I'll talk to him just to make sure, though.
Thanks for the info!

They've added iClickers into a bajillion and ten courses...1A03 didn't have them when I took it, either.
It's too late to officially switch sections, but as long as the room isn't full you can switch unofficially. It's generally not advisable to combine sections together (ie, attend C01 for two lectures and C02 for the third) since classes can run at different paces, even if the profs are the same.

There's a notice on MUGSI:
Drop/Add date was extended to Monday Sept. 20 @ 11:59pm. So no worries you can still change sections if you really need to on SOLAR.
