There's one by the Dundurn/Main Street plaza near McDonald's. I forgot what the shop is called but my friend got her bangs done for $6.

Well businesses that only accept cash can/might hide money from the CRA, hence it being sketchy.

Well also some companies prefer cash since companies pay X% for each transaction for credit cards, or a set amount for debit. I worked for a small business, and when I made sales he told me that unless sale was really large, not to accept AMEX since they charge a high percent to merchants (I think like 5%) while other companies charge like 2%

Yeah, I was thinking more along those lines..because we recently talked about that and related issues with small businesses with different types of payments and how it all works.
