Chem 1A03 question
From the past experience, do you guys think that doing the questions in the textbook is not really helpful? Should i just focus on the Aplia and the lecture note questions?

Thanks

From what I remember, tutorial questions were the most helpful. Textbook questions were more for if you didn't understand a certain concept you could get extra questions like for acid/base questions those tend to be tricky so you can always go to textbook for extra help. I would focus on past midterms, tutorials and understanding the concepts cause when it comes to chem they throw these questions at your during midterm where if you dont know what your doing you wont get it (unless your a lucky guesser)

textbook is time waster. memorize and understand the slides fully. u will be tested on theory which is word for word from slides. for the math, tutorial questions and old tests should suffice. if u struggle, do a few math problems from text. most important thing tho is the lecture slides.

Practice questions from the tutorials and previous midterms (provided by the chem dept. come that time) are more then sufficient, I wouldn't waste time with textbook questions unless you really need extra practice.

Plenty of support is given by the 1st year chemistry professors in the form of practice questions, and practice tests... I found the textbook was useful for getting more detail about certain concepts or getting the information explained in a different way.
