Chem 2E03/2OC3
Hello,
Can anyone elaborate on these two organic chemistry courses and their similarities to Chem 2OA3?

How do they measure in difficulty?

Thanks

Chem 2E03 has no labs. As for the difficulty, I am really not sure but I would imagine it's probably just as difficult as Chem 2OA3.

Ok see you there i guess

But is this course an equivalent to 2OA3? It says it is an antireq, but there are no labs...

It says it's an antirequisite but you can still take 2OA3 after 2E03. One you complete 2OA3 you lose the credit from 2E03, so basically 2OA3 replaces 2E03.

Not sure what the difference is though.

Also, please note that Chem 2OC3 is the intended for chemistry majors, whereas Chem 2OA3/2OB3/2E03 are for non-science majors. I'm guessing 2E03 covers less material than 2OA3, and thus why it is slightly easier. There's probably less of an emphasis on techniques and moreso on reactions, I'm guessing.
