CHINESE3A03 thoughts?

I'm a native Chinese speaker looking for some easy electives. Has anyone taken this course? Please share your thoughts and experiences! Do you have to write an essay in Chinese?

I know that I have to take a placement test before I can register for the course. According to the website, the test is at the end of August, but SOLAR opens before that in June... how is that suppose to work?
