Elective Thoughts?
http://www.eng.mcmaster.ca/documents/electives.pdf
Suggestions? Was thinking of Macroecon, but honestly I do not like economics... just can't find anything better.
Need it for term 2 summer.

I would suggest Geography courses (earlier years are better). They aren't necessarily easy, but if you go to class and do the work, you can get a good mark.

Depending on the day its offered, I might not be able to attend class. As long as the prof posts notes its not a big deal though.

I took macro econ last summer and it was dead simple as everyone will tell you. Material is not so bad. I went in like you not liking economics and my primary reason for taking it was just to get an easy 12 but by the end of the course I found the material interesting so it worked out I guess. Another reason I took the course was because of the online video podcasts. THB I only attended 1 or 2 classes since the podcasts were pretty much identical and each one would be exactly what you would learn in the lecture. Plus you get the added benefit of learning at your own pace I guess so you don't need to go to those 3 hour evening classes =P
If your dead set on not taking an econ then I would agree with Kathy, any first year geo course.

take what interests you and you'll do well regardless of difficulty...I'm speaking from personal experience

at blackdragon, if you don't wanna take macroeconomic, try microeconomic, it is easier than macroeconomic
as mentioned above, you can consider taking a first year geo course, which is easier in term of the materials, but heavier workloads in terms of assignments, you have to write a research paper, and in the end you have to do a big assignment (either designing a LRT route for the city of hamilton or designing a travel guide)
but again, you should take a course that interests you instead of a course that "sounds" easy, there are no easy courses in university
btw, just realized you are in engineering, which is notorious for heavy workload, so decide wisely

She posted the podcasts in second term, but now there's no aplia because of some stupid rule where professors can't force students to buy materials for mandatory marks (which is ridiculous; textbook assignments? lab manuals?) So now the course is considerably harder to get a 12 since all the weighting of aplia was distributed to the midterms and exam.

Thats alright, I rather have 2 midterms and an exam than weekly assignments, esp during summer lol.

I'd rather have free marks, which is technically what aplia was.
