completed pre-reqs
let's say, if I were to take 2 courses in level 3 biochemistry.
mol bio 30O3
BIO 3O03
these are pre-requisites in level 4 under the category:
6 units in
Levels III, IV Biochemistry, Chemical Biology, BIOLOGY 3O03, 4V03, HTH SCI 3I03, 3K03, 4II3, 4O03, MOL BIOL 3O03, 4H03
would i have to take two other courses in level 4 from that 6-unit pre-requisite group ( eg. hth sci 3i03 and 3k03 ) or would that space in level 4 be counted towards electives?

First of all, in case you didn't know..there is no BIO 3O03 anymore, its Mol Bio 3O03, so its only one course. Therefore to complete the requirement you need one more of the courses listed...so one of HTH SCI 3I03, 3K03, 4II3, 4O03, MOL BIO 4H03 or a Level III or IV Biochemistry or Chemical Biology. And don't forget there is another category: 3 units Level III or IV Biochemisty.
Hope that helps

those were just examples of courses. what if i took
hth sci 3i03 or 3k03
in 3rd year, would i still need to take courses from that category? or would these two courses count as electives of level 3 and i'd still need to take courses from that category in level 4?

No, if you took them in 3rd year, then that would meet the requirement for 6 units of blah blah. It doesn't matter when you take required courses, as long as you take them. If you take them in 3rd year, then it will show up as complete in your degree audit. They just tell you to take it 4th year just as a guideline, but if you have the space in 3rd year, and you meet the requirements, you can take those courses in 3rd year.
