condoms
okay, so this is my second time living in residence and i dont ever recall there being such a big emphasis on condom use. In my building there are signs everywhere about condom use (i mean everywhere- in the halls, in the common room, washroom) and just yesterday, my CA taped condoms on everyone's door...And tonight there is some sort of safe sex thing going on in the common room ...Is this some sort of residence intiative or something?

Practicing safer sex is an important message to get out? I don't have the numbers to back up this statement, but I think younger people are more likely to engage in risky behaviour, and there's really nothing anyone can do to stop it, so why not at least advocate education and taking precautions?

Yeah I lived in residence the past two years and don't remember any of that.
That said its important, and hey if you need them free condoms are great. If people are going to be having sex they might as well be having safe sex.

If you don't want them, I'll take em.
Condoms are expensive.

Why don't you either:
a) Use your hands or
b) Use a condom because despite what the porns show, not every girl likes cum dripping out her *****.
**** you, this pissed me off.
Girls shouldn't have to go on birth control just because YOU'RE too much of a douchebag to wear a condom.

Condom =/= BCP
There are a lot of side effects and environmental problems associated with taking the pill, and you have to do it every day.
Condoms = one time, whlie youre doing it, many less side effects

the pill also has beneficial side effects, such as regulation of your menstrual cycle and less severe cramps, while it doesn't prevent STDs, if you are in a relationship and you trust each other, the pill can be a good thing.
also, you can always just pull

I agree with her - it's always the women who has to take care of the kid. It's the girl who is considered a slut for having multiple partners while the guy is a stud.
Remember, it's A LOT safer and easier for the guy to wear a condom for a few minutes than for a girl to take a pill for a month and screw with her reprductive system plus endure any side effects of the pill.

I actually read pulling out (when done properly) has the same efficiency rate as condoms at preventing pregnancy, but theres NO STD PROTECTION
What if youre not in a relationship?
And have you even heard of all the environmental damage done by the hormones urinated out into the streams - no male fish left, fish deformities, etc...

theres a shot you can get, its birth control and you only get your period once every three months...
im just saying, theres lots of options lol
and obviously a condom would be ideal in a one night stand kinda situation haha, since you dont have an STD and you dont wanna get her pregnant and you dont know if shes on the pill
