The iphone 4 issues are clearly a design flaw and will most likely not be fixable through an update.

Well yeah... how anyone thought that a software update was going to fix a hardware design flaw (ie: antenna placement) is beyond me.

And this, kids, is why you don't buy the first shipments of a new product.

I want to know if I'm insane.

I know a few people who think, despite these issues that the iPhone 4 is a) totally worth the money b) totally worth the hype and c) going to work fine.

I disagree...

For some reason, a lot of people think that apple products can do no wrong. Whenever someone complains about their PC, someone always responds with 'get a mac', but they don't understand that macs are just as vulnerable to the same problems.

Bottom line is, yeah, apple products are nice (hell I have an ipod myself), but they aren't flawless. They're just pretty and expensive and don't really have much of an edge over other products out there.

It's all about marketing. Why pay for a WD external when you can get a Time Capsule!!!!

As much as i agree with what most of you are saying. When i payed for macbook at first i was feeling the same aswell. But now after a year and a half, i know it is deff worth it. If i had a pc right now it would not be running anyway close to as smoothly and would have at to reformat atleast once .

Same goes for the iphone it is a great product, the antenna issue is a small one but you dont know if it will effect you untill you try it.

http://www.apple.com/antenna/

i have never owned an iphone but plan on getting in when it is released end of this month. Will let ya know if i have any problems with it.
