Who uses the Swipe (or Swype?) keyboard thingy? I've only heard it in passing. I can never find it in the android marketplace though.

Anyone recommend it? Whats it all about?

Swype is great, I've been using it ever since I got my android phone. It takes a little getting used to at first, but once you get comfortable using it you can write a message quite quickly.

The app is still in beta. To get it you have to go to their website and register for the beta. You'll get an email with a download link which you open from your phone.

adaptation says thanks to Pay919 for this post.

Seems pretty cool on first glance. Only quarrel is my Desire has abysmal multitouch, so i have to do everything with one thumb and that sucks when i have to go from one side of the keyboard to another. /whine

edit: well, upon further testing, i guess its not that bad with one thumb. and the speech to text works GREAT!

I had swype for a while, but once they upgraded to swype 3.0 beta it just wasn't the same on my Nexus One. The stock keyboard in 2.3 is really really good. I even noticed a HUGE difference in accuracy when I turned off haptic feedback.

Android is pretty awesome.
