course dilemma!!!!
I wanted to take both of BIOPHYS 1S03 and ORIGINS 1I03 as electives, but there is only one core for each that happen to fall in the same day at the same time! That means I can only pick one, right?

What should I do? And if I have to pick one, which one should I choose? I know that both these courses are new for this year, but if you have taken any origins course or any physics-biophysical specialization course, could you please tell me which one you prefer or which one you feel is better for me? (I am interested in DNA, biochemistry, and hands on/visual/interactive experience if that helps)

Yes. That's what it means, but if SOLAR let you take them concurrently, and you're willing to skip some classes and attendance is not mandatory (i.e. no actual attendance record or iClicker or in-lecture assignments)

I would definitely not recommend it, but if you're desperate to take them both, then by all means...

Also, we can't give you feedback in both courses, because they're really a brand new course that's starting this fall.

BIOPHYS seems to apply more into your interests, though, in my opinion. I'm taking that in the fall, so maybe I'll see you there.

I was planning on taking BIOPHYS in the first place but then I found out about the origins course yesterday, so I wasn't quite sure. they both seem interesting, but I'm probably going to take BIOPHYS instead. So, I'll probably see you next year then

The science department doesn't allow conflicts; they will force you to drop one at some point.

Also, there's a pretty good chance their exams will be on the same day, in which case you're screwed.
