Course Registration.....HELP !
I'm a transfer student from a university outside of Canada and I have received 34 transfer credits which almost canceled most of Engineering I courses (I only need to take 1E03,1P06 and 1M03). my problem is that I am thinking about registering for some level II courses to be taken with the above mentioned courses.

Is that possible ( registering for level 2 courses in the first year)?

and if that is possible, when should I register for the level 2 courses? (with engineering level II on June 22 or with engineering I on June 29 because I am admitted to level I?)

PLZ HELP!!!!!

Yes, you can register for second year courses as long as you have the prerequisites for the courses.

Check the courses in the course calendar: http://registrar.mcmaster.ca /CALEN...rent/pg4.html#

As for when you are allowed to register, I believe SOLAR will only open for you on June 29th.

I've already checked the prerequisites and I do have them in the transferred credits that I received,

another question ->

would these level 2 courses count when they calculate my C.A. for Level 2 programs Cut-Offs?

I believe all of your courses will count in your CA unless specifically stated otherwise. The fact that they are not first year courses should not affect the way your average is calculated.

Yeah Ditto above, I was actually in the same situation as you. I had around 18 units due to my GCSE highschool system and took second year econ and was told that those courses would count within my GPA target of 6.0 for admission into honours.
