hey everyone, i' am very new to this so i was wondering is MUGSI use to activate your account? and SOLAR is use to register your courses?

Yeah. MUGSI is the gateway to everything you need for your things like email, marks, fees, etc.
SOLAR is basically just used to register your courses (or drop/cancel them later on) and accept your payment agreement.
